10X10 LATINAS DO IT WRITE: A NEW WORKS FEST
As part of the 10th Anniversary celebration, Teatro Luna presents 10X10 LATINAS DO IT WRITE, A New Works Play Festival of Ten 10 Minute plays. This event is the coda to the highly successful LUNA Incubation Series, which launched training for over 40 Latinas participating in the various lab series (Year One was comprised of the Luna PlayLab, The Latina Directors Lab, & The Lunadas New Works Reading Series. The 10-minute plays featured in the festival are all written by the Latina playwrights from the PlayLab series and are all being directed by Latina directors from the Directors Lab. This festival is the embodiment of Teatro Luna's mission. As an organization dedicated to creating original work that honors Latina lives, and to showcase the talents of Latina/Hispana artists both on and off the stage, this Festival marks another big step in Teatro Luna's history.
Join us for an afternoon filled with 10 new plays, live music, art, and celebration! This event is presented in English with a sprinkle of Spanish.
