Due to Popular demand, Teatro Luna has created a touring division that performs around the country at Festivals and Colleges/Universities. Recent performances include; Carnegie Mellon (PA), University of Chicago, University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, Mills College (CA), San Jose State (CA) DePaul University (IL), Ball State University (IN), St. Mary's University (MD), Chicago State University, Northeastern University (IL), La Peña Cultural Center in Berkeley California, Ladyfest Midwest, Around The Coyote Festival, Estrogenfest, Storefront Theatre, Theatre-On-The-Lake, The Goodman Theatre, Victory Gardens in Chicago as well as INTAR and psNBC/Here in NYC. The company is capable of adapting and customizing shows based on previous works such as "Probadita", "Mas Probadita", "Generic Latina", "The Maria Chronicles" and our latest "S-e-x-Oh!" which have played to great acclaim in Chicago, NYC and in the college/cultural center circuit. Teatro Luna performs original works created from the Ensemble's individual experiences of being Latina in the United States. Our pieces cover issues dealing with family, racism (within and outside our communities), color, women, sexism, and body image to name a few. The company has also led successful workshops based on the "Teatro Luna" process described in our brochure.
